He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Nielsen; his daughter Karla Howard (Tim); his grandchildren, T. J. Howard (Aly), Taylor Kurth (Haley), Austin Kurth (Tori), Jenna Kurth, Beau Kurth, Dylan Kurth (Kelsey) and Aspen Kurth; his great grandchildren, Jamie, Piper Howard and Decker Kurth; and his siblings, Blaine Kurth and Marcy McCarthy.
