He was predeceased by: his wife Iona Tegner; his foster parents, Theodore Tegner and Ida Tegner; his brothers-in-law, Ted Visser and Don Prodoehl; and his grandson-in-law Ed Hellekson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Sorenson (Wayne) of Park Rapids, MN, Nancy Kodet (Jim) of Olivia, MN, Joanne Groenewold of Minnetonka, MN and Terri Larson (Nate) of Plymouth, MN; his grandchildren, Melanie Hellekson, Nicole Simpson (Ray), Jennifer McDonough (Matt), Sara Tollefson (Brian), Mark Kodet (Kristen) and Alexa Larson; and his sisters-in-law, Vera Prodoehl of Faribault, MN, Shirley Visser of Hammond, WI and Many. He is also survived by Many other relatives and friends.
His family is thankful to each of them for filling his last days with joy, especially when they could not visit because of COVID restrictions.
