He was predeceased by: his parents, Selmer Sampson and Sophie Sampson; and his siblings, Aldin, Selvin, Ellsworth, Wayne Sampson, Mavis Layman, Alta Nelson, Marjorie Cooper and Maureen Kohout.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Walter; and his children, Paul (Karen), Randy (Susan), Russ (Donnelle) and Susan Puchalski (Corey). He is also survived by his sons, grandsons, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to BLHS Schools, First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hector, or the Canterbury Park Racetrack Chaplaincy.
