He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Wetzel and Mildred Wetzel (Traeger); and his brother Keith. He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Layman (Eric), Cherie Abbott (Lee), Kristen Wetzel and Jennifer Siderius (Daniel); his grandchildren, Hannah, Jordan Layman, Emilee, Jared Abbott and Olivia Siderius; his brothers, Noel and Kenneth Wetzel; his aunt Marcella Fredell; and his cousins, Pamela Van Heel and Mary Flekke.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Community Compassion Center in Harrisburg or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
