He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Fast and Mary Fast (Unruh); and his siblings, Adolph, Edward, Rudolph, Peter, Arnold, John, Mary, Agnes and Tillie.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Fast of Hayfield, MN; and his children, Rodney Fast of Kasson, MN and Sherrill Kautz (Stephen) of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
