He is survived by: his parents, Dean Paul and Dora Cates (Lenz); his sister Vivian (Dick); his children, Dorothy Edlin (Todd), Patty Krause, Brigitte Tate (Bill), Phillip Cates, Bruno Cates (Jennifer), Casey Cates (Angela) and Rachael Cates; and also Wright. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
