He is survived by: his wife Helen Thompson; his children, Robert S. (Lonna) of Hawley, Susan Cox (Richard) of Atlanta, GA, Sara Noreen (Dan) of Hawley and Stephanie Critchley (Ted) of Hawley; his grandchildren, Nicole Strafelda (Eric), Stacie Hinrichs (Keifer), Kari Olson of Hawley, Casey Harrison (Caitlin), Ally Harrison, Chad Cox, Derek Cox (Kelly), Dylan Cox of Atlanta, GA, Jenny Hirsch (Forrest) of Garrison, ND, Jessy VanHavermaet (Luke), Jody Rothermund (Aaron) of Wadena, MN, Kobe Critchley of Chicago, IL, Carson Critchley of St Paul, MN, Kora Critchley and Calvin Critchley of Hawley; and his sisters, Edna Mae Pearson of Detroit Lakes, MN and Marlene Munig of Virginia, MN.. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial designations may be made to Hawley Lutheran Church, Hawley Park Board- Prairie Hills Park, and/or Hospice of Red River Valley.
