He was predeceased by: his parents, William Caneff and Marguerite Caneff (Fitzgerald); his siblings, William Caneff and Mary Lorentz (Joe); his half-brother Fred Schultz (Bea); and his sister-in-law Eleanor Caneff.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his daughter Robin Gipson (Jon); his grandchildren, Charlie and Tegan Gipson; his brother James Caneff; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Hall (Lisa Brusen) and Susan Kalina (Cavin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (2035 15th St W, Hastings, MN 55003).
