With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Merle H. Muench of Hastings, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Muench and Bernice Muench (Heineman); his sisters, Marlene Simon (Ted) and Madonna Sue Magill (Mac); his brother-in-law Ron Trudo; and his daughter-in-law Mandy Muench.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Troutman; his children, Michelle Ellingson (Kraig), Mike Muench (Lynn), Dr. Marcy Gerads (Dean) and Marc Muench (Maricel); his grandchildren, Michaela, Josiah, Gloria (Caleb), Matthew, Jeffrey, Amurie, Gage, Connor, Paul and Lauren (Connor); his great grandchildren, Kamari and Carter; and his siblings, Marva Jean Stark (Glenn), Merlin Muench (Jody), John Muench (Stephanie), Dwight Muench (Dianna) and Linda Trudo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel (3075 Vermillion St, Hastings, MN 55033). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
