Joan M. Tonsager Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan M. Tonsager of Hastings, Minnesota, born in Lakeville, Minnesota, who passed away on April 13, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandson Jeremy Lakin; her siblings, Jerry Mahowald, Donald Mahowald and Richard Mahowald; and her parents, Nicholas Mahowald and Marie Mahowald.
She is survived by: her husband Roger Tonsager; her children, Luella Kramer (Jerry), John Tonsager (Mary), Cecelia Bauer (Bruce), Gregory Tonsager (Valerie), Kathy Lakin, Mary Fogarty (Kevin), Madonna Denley (Michael), Veronica Johnstone (Lance) and Peter Tonsager (Janet); and her siblings, Bud Mahowald and Mary Wren (John). She is also survived by her 24 Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (2035 15th St W, Hastings, MN 55003). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
