He was predeceased by: his son Dion Walstad; his parents, Clarence Walstad and Catherine Walstad (O'Brien); his siblings, Loren Walstad and Mary Walstad; his brother-in-law Russel Knudson; and his mother-in-law Myrnetta Knudson.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Walstad; his children, Tracy Walstad (Isabel) and Jason Walstad (Jeri); and his siblings, Kaye Hames (Wally), Steve Walstad (Carolyn), Brian Walstad and Grace Castleberry. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (2035 15th St W, Hastings, MN 55003). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Due to construction at church, please use the West entrance near Mother Seton Hall.
