With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dorothy M. McCarthy of Hastings, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leander Diederich and Margaret Diederich; her husband Everett; her son William; and her brother Jerome.
She is survived by: her children, Robert McCarthy (Michelle), Gerald McCarthy (Terri), Edward McCarthy (Denise), Evelyn Moore (Bruce), Kenneth McCarthy, Julie McCarthy and Eugene McCarthy (Irisha); and her siblings, Ann Krueger, Daniel Diederich (Mary Lou), Theresa Johnson (Darold), Loretta Floyd (Roger), Delores Cook (Robert), Cherilyn Klassen, Monica Heike (Dean) and Janet Ross (Bill). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (2035 15th St W, Hastings, MN 55003). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
