He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Swearingen; and his brothers, Ralph Thostenson (Dianne) of Albert Lea, Wilfred Thostenson (Mary) of Ellendale and Gordon Thostenson (Donna) of Ellendale. He is also survived by his three children, ten grandchildren.
