He is survived by: his wife Estherann Matson; his children, Joanne Johnson (James), Scott Jarland (Kris) and Matt Jarland; his daughter-in-law Teri Jarland; his grandchildren, Trinity Johnson (Emily), Jeffrey Johnson (Janelle), Joel Johnson (Courtney), Tiffany Johnson (Eric), Alex Wheeler (Emma), Brandon Wheeler (Ramsey), Connor Jarland, Kailee Jarland, Taylor Jarland (Brittney), Jordan Jarland, Kristi Rindels (Jarod), Billie Jo Tweten (Cory), Jared Jarland and Justin Jarland; and his siblings-in-law, Donnis Trouten, Nancy Scrabeck (Ronald) and Jack Matson. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.

“This makes me so sad. I was hoping it wasn't true. Uncle Tom was so special to me. While he wasn't exactly a biological Uncle, he certainly was a chosen one. I will miss his smile, his belly laugh, and most of all, his kindness. He was there for my many life milestones and always made them brighter. Even when my little guy was born with many health problems, Uncle Tom was there with bags full of produce form the garden to bring comfort in all the ways he knew how. Love and hugs. -STO”
