He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Peterson and Hilda Peterson; his children, Elizabeth Peterson and Mark Peterson; his wife Betty Peterson; and his siblings, Howard Peterson, Vern Peterson (Bud), Marlow Peterson, Quentin Peterson, Wayne Peterson, Gloria Redfield, Ardis Rief and Diane Ferris.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Peterson (Cathy), Kathy Stueckrath (Russ), Pam Schultz (Lee) and Kim Labraaten (Larry); his daughter-in-law Marcia Peterson; and his brother Eldred Peterson (Fran). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
