He was predeceased by: his parents, George Petersen and Elnora Petersen (Resen); his wife Ann Mortland; his son Hank; his siblings, Louise Van Huevelen and Loren Petersen; and his parents-in-law, Dean Mortland (Maryline), Delmare Yearous, Berniece Mortland (James) and Lorraine Doyscher.
He is survived by: his children, Beth Kalass (Terry) of Luverne, Hope Schelhaas (Lowell) of Hardwick and Heath Petersen (Keri) of Edgerton; his grandchildren, Spenser Kalass (Marni DeBoer), Jasmine Kalass, Jenna, Nicole Schelhaas, Kenzi, Hank, Huck and Hatcher Petersen; his brother Dale Petersen (Jean) of Park Rapids, Minnesota; his parents-in-law, Rosie Petersen of Sioux Falls, Eugene Van Huevelen of Chandler, Virginia Yearous of Balaton, Dan Mortland (Priscilla) of Illinois and Bill Doyscher (Rita) of Tyler, Minnesota; and his aunt Mary Resen of Pipestone, Minnesota. He is also survived by his kids and grandkids.
