He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, William Zeltwanger and Lillian Zeltwanger (Eisenmann); his wife Mabel Zeltwanger of Hancock; his daughter Connie Nuest (Steve) of Morris; his grandchildren, Cory Nuest (Shannon) of Becker, Chad Nuest (Kalee) of Hancock and Ashlee Francois (Claudy) of Hancock; his great grandchildren, Courtney, Danielle, Troy Nuest, Abigail, Jett, Cash Nuest, Lia and Emerson Francois; his siblings, Ila Gramm (Harold) of Hancock, William Zeltwanger, Jr of Indianapolis, IN and Lyle Zeltwanger (Marilyn) of Valparaiso, IN; and his brother-in-law Floyd Schmidgall of Morris. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family to be used for church missions.
