He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Oelfke and Frieda Oelfke; his parents-in-law, Herbert Dammann and Clara Dammann; his brother-in-law Shirley Kroells (Melvin); and also, Harold Dammann, Agnes Dammann, Verona Bussmann, Arthur Bussmann, Herman Schmidt, Ruben Kruschke and Loren Dammann.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Oelfke of Arlington; his children, Wayne Oelfke (Joyce) of Shorewood, Douglas Oelfke (Carol) of Osakis, Brian Oelfke (Kathleen) of Hamburg and Gail Thomes (Robert) of Arlington; his grandchildren, Shannon Aurich (Joe), Dana Cavanaugh (Jake), Brenna Kruger (Steve), Adam Oelfke (Amy), Angela Mesenbring (Ryan), Aaron Oelfke, Sarah Kluseman, Kelli Oelfke, Nina Hammer, Jamie Weckworth (Kirby), Ashley Eckberg (Max), Jordan Thomes, Shannon Reilly Kreger and Brendan Reilly (Sara); and his great grandchildren, Whytnee, Kiya, Seth, Jonah Aurich, John Wayne Cavanaugh, Halden Oelfke, Kayla Mesenbring, Dylan Mesenbring, Ariah, Lia, Nolan Oelfke, Ashton Kluseman, Colton Kluseman, Maisy, Elsie, Brooks Weckworth, Ava Eckberg, Rylie Kreger, Sydney Kreger, Marissa, Ben, Jenna, Owen Reilly, Ruth Kruschke of Glencoe, Virginia Ernst (Ruben) of Glencoe and Muriel Zieroth (Loren) of Waconia.
