He was predeceased by: his parents, William Panning and Martha Panning (Jaus); his siblings, Raymond Panning (Myra), Roland Panning, Hillard Panning, Marvin Panning (Violet), William Panning, Helma Hoernemann (Karl), Norma Engelmann (Elmer), Irmgard Otto (Elmer) and Martha Smith; his parents-in-law, Robert and Anna Englelmann; and his siblings-in-law, Marlaine Panning, Harold and Florence Engelmann.
He is survived by: his son Hamburg Feed Mill; his wife Lois Panning of Hamburg; his children, Alan Panning (Debbie) of Green Isle, Brenda Dammann (Warren) of Eden Prairie and Robert Panning (Tammy) of Chaska; his grandchildren, Brandon Panning (Shari), Colin Panning, Blake Dammann (Katie), Kyle Dammann (Kristi), Grant Dammann, Blair Panning (Maurissa), Connor Panning and Anna Panning; his great grandchildren, Marshall Panning, Emma Panning, Astrid Dammann, Landon Panning, Laila Panning and Lutsen Panning; his brothers, Melroy Panning and Werner Panning (Evelyn) of Aitkin; and his siblings-in-law, Harvin Smith, Marilyn Bjelland and Deanna Panning of Hamburg. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
