He was predeceased by: his uncle Scott Torborg; and his grandparents, Mike, Mary Ann Lewandowski and Lawrence Merck. He is survived by: his father Mike Merck; his siblings, John Merck (Amy), Joe Merck (Greta), Anna Barthold (Jake), Liz Weir (Kohl), Becca Merck, Abby Vouk (David), Maria Merck, Clare Merck and Paul Merck; and his grandmother Janice Merck. He is also survived by his eleven nieces and two nephews.
This connection he had with those in need explains our family's decision to direct memorials to the charitable organization LEAST which stands for Loving the Elderly And Satiating Jesus' Thirst. Donations in Andrew's name will support the remodeling of the chapel in Casa Feliz, where stained glass windows will be designed to reflect St. Francis of Assisi, Andrew's Confirmation saint.
