With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Edith Matthys of Halstad, Minnesota, who passed away on October 21, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sophus Jensen and Gertrude Jensen of Moorhead, MN.; her husband Leo Matthys; and her son Donald Lee Matthys. She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Bjornstad of Cando, ND; and her children, Lynn Bitker (Curtis) of Halstad, MN, Joan Lee (David), Karen Matthys (Keith Jacobson), Dale Matthys of Moorhead, MN and Keith Matthys. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Halstad, MN, following all of the Minnesota and CDC COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.
