He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Schriltz and Martha Von Schriltz; his siblings, Billy, Marji, Don and Marilyn; his daughter-in-law Melanie; and his grandson Andrew.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta; his children, Donna, Betty, Leah, Naomi, John, Bob and Dwight; and his sister Judy. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and over 20 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Due to current restrictions under COVID-19, a memorial service will be planned at a later date.
It was in Hallock, MN, where James lived out the rest of his days while receiving care to navigate complications from Alzheimer's Disease.
