He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Steuck and Sylvia Steuck (Nelson); his stepdaughter Joanna Smith; his nephews, Ryan Brockberg and Mark Mahlstedt; and his stepson-in-law Mark Ness.
He is survived by: his former wife Rose Dietz; his wife Carol of Grygla, MN; his children, Kari Steuck of Annandale, MN, Sheri Hoopman (Brian DeSmet) of St. Cloud, MN and Terry Steuck (Angel) of Watkins, MN; his stepchildren, Angela Ness of Cold Spring, MN, Brian Smith (Jessika) of Devlin, Ontario and Nina Smith (Jeff Broadwell) of Fosston, MN; his grandchildren, Cortney, Trent, Christopher Hoopman, Hannah and Haley Steuck; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Gomes (Josue), Chelsie Smith, Alexis Peterson (Chad), Anthony Smith, Kaci, Hannah, Nathan, Aaron Ness, Miles and Kenedi Broadwell; his great grandchildren, Paislee, Axle and McKenzie Peterson; and his sisters, Linda Mahlstedt (Virgil), Anita Johnson (Dennis), Kathy Brockberg (Dennis) and Patricia Nesvold. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
