Sidney Lyon Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sidney Lyon (Grey Eagle, Minnesota), born in Wahpeton, North Dakota, who passed away on March 24, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lyon and Mildred Lyon (Palmerton); his wife Rita Lyon; his grandchildren, Mark Lyon, Linda Lyon, Doug Lyon, Grant Lyon and Brady Lyon; his brother Allen Coats; and his siblings-in-law, Gordon Holm, Rolland Kutzler, Lois Ball and Helen Coats.

He is survived by: his children, Arthur Lyon (MaryAnn) of Rice, Grace Edgar (Kenneth) of Sauk Centre, Sidney L. Lyon (Jo Ann) of Sauk Rapids, Dale Lyon (Ruth) of Melrose, Audrey Olmscheid (Don) of Paynesville, Roger Lyon of Villard, Allen Lyon (Anna) of Foley, Dennis Lyon (LeaAnn) of Sauk Centre, Joe Lyon (Cathy) of Holdingford, Mary Guetter (Ron) of Willmar, Judy Haus (Dave) of Sauk Rapids, David Lyon (Beth) of Marshall, Mike Lyon (Lori) of St. Joseph, Lloyd Lyon (Joan) of Rice, Tom Lyon (Meredith) of St. Joseph and Nancy Roske (Brian) of Grey Eagle; and his siblings, Betty Holm of Sauk Centre, Joyce Kutzler of Clinton, Robert Ball of Fosston and Leonard Ball (Lois) of Fosston. He is also survived by 48 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the V.A. Hospice.
