She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest Burdick and Loretta Burdick; her foster parents, Ray Warner and Florence Warner; her husband Gerald Kortan; her sister Trix Kleinschmidt; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Kortan (Dorothy) and Kathy Burdick.

She is survived by: her brother David Burdick of St Cloud; her sister-in-law Shirley Opsal (Kortan); her nieces and nephews, Cynthia Payne (Kortan) of Freeport, Gerlad Kortan (Kim) of Sauk Centre and Gregory Kortan of Grey Eagle; her grandchildren, Yesenia, Magdelana Payne, Thomas Kortan and Hailey Sherman; and her pets, Precious and Schnitzel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
