He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Mehr and Frances Mehr (Schmidt); and his brother Bernard Mehr. He is survived by: his wife Rita Mehr of Greenwald; his stepchildren, Rich Dockendorf (Cindy) of Champlin, Alvin Dockendorf of Greenwald, Kevin Dockendorf (Lynn) of Cold Spring, Karen Gavin (Mike) of Cold Spring, Connie Hansen (Randy) of Brooklyn Park, John Dockendorf (Kristy) of Grey Eagle, Kathy Gilk (Steve) of Greenwald, Joe Wenker (Rodrigo) of Minneapolis, Steve Wenker (Ann) of Royalton, Sharon Gaebel (Rich) of Albany, Mark Wenker (Donna) of Sauk Centre, Mary Wenker of Sartell, Barb Kennedy of Sartell, Jim Wenker (Michelle) of East Bethel and Theresia Berglund (Paul) of St. Paul; his sister Frances Johnson of St. Paul; and his sister-in-law Marlene Mehr of Oakdale. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's - St. Andrew's Catholic School.
