He was predeceased by: his parents, John Uphus and Mary Uphus (Brus); his stepmother Bertha Loxtercamp; his daughter Cynthia Uphus; his son-in-law Pete LeClaire; his grandchildren, Rebecca LeClaire, Lee Spaeth, Francis Uphus, Ava Fischer and Cassidy Kraker; and his siblings, Barney Uphus (Clara), Eddie Uphus (Verena), Irene Wuertz (Norbert), Marie Wenning (Richard), Betty Schulzetenberg (Lee) and Jeanette Baltes (Vernon).
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Uphus of Melrose; his children, Mick Uphus (Sharel) of White Hall, Etta Kraker (Mike) of Melrose, Toni LeClaire of Melrose, Theresa Kortan (Mike) of Melrose, Anita Spaeth of Greenwald, John Uphus of Melrose, Terry Uphus (Rhonda) of Melrose, Brenda Bailey (Jeff) of Sauk Centre, Paul Uphus (Maria) of Greenwald, Peter Uphus (Michelle) of Sauk Centre and Danny Uphus of Sauk Centre; and his stepbrother Kenny Loxtercamp (Mary Ann) of Waconia. He is also survived by 93 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
