He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Barnes and Donna Barnes (Klemz); his brothers, Neil, Randy and Robin Barnes; and his grandchildren, Evelyn and Henry Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Barnes (Gall); his sons, Samuel Barnes (Jonelle) of Mora, MN and Seth Barnes (Linzy) of Grasston, MN; his grandchildren, Wesley, Brooklynn, Jonathon and Benjamin; and his siblings, Susan Bartholomaus (David) of Milaca, MN, Donny Barnes (Adam) of Golden Valley, MN, Timothy Barnes (Rebecca) of Florida, Thomas Barnes (Nancy) of Brook Park, MN and Wendy Bloom (Leslie) of Pine City, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts.
