He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Helgeson and Alta Helgeson (Helvig); his daughter-in-law Christy Gustafson; his siblings, Lenora Sheppard (Dayton "Joe") and Marvin; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Helgeson and Dale Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Olson; his children, Jodi Helgeson of St. Louis, MO, Bruce Helgeson (Kris) of Wood Lake, Keith Helgeson (Melissa) of Granite Falls and Kurt Helgeson (Stacy) of South Haven; his grandchildren, Josh Helgeson (Cassie) of Clara City, Tim Helgeson of Wood Lake, Kelsey Laleman (Gavin) of Cottonwood, Blake Helgeson (Nichole Ziller) of Bird Island, Ashton Helgeson of Granite Falls, Neil Helgeson (Jordan Geraets) of Elk River and Danielle Helgeson of Chicago, IL; his great grandchildren, Kason, Rylan, Hudson, Sutton, Tennasyn, Riftin, Riggs and Lainey; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Olson (Barbara) of Spicer and Joyce Lewison of Montevideo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
