He was predeceased by: his son Hunter. He is survived by: his parents, Denneth Bakkelund and Linda Bakkelund (Erickson); his wife Heidi Bakken; his sons, Taylor Bakkelund and Jordan Bakkelund; his brother Aaron Bakkelund (Alison); his nieces and nephews, Janessa, Shandi, Avry, Laela, Jakob, Carter and Brennan; his parents-in-law, Mark and Vicki Bakken; and his brother-in-law Ryan Bakken (Jess). He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

Masks are strongly encouraged as well as social distancing for the visitation and funeral service.
