He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Benes and Henrietta Benes (Christensen); his brother Adolph "Spike" Benes, Jr.; and his nephew Christopher Benes. He is survived by: his siblings, Edward (Dianna) of Herman, MN, Franklin "Skinner" of Spang Township, John of Spang Township, Eugene Benes (Wanita) of Spang Township, Elaine Klennert of Hill City, MN, Jane Klennert (Larry) of Swatara and Susan Roberts (Stephen) of Cushing, MN. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
