He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Hawkinson and Berna Newman (Adams); his former wife Joan Hawkinson; his children, Dennis Hawkinson (Drift) and Sherry Hawkinson (Drift); and his siblings, Gary Hawkinson, Edward Hawkinson and Karen Siefke.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Hawkinson; his children, Leonard Hawkinson of Kelly Lake, MN, Vernard Hawkinson (Cindy) of Warba, MN, Randy (Drift), Cheryl Hawkinson of Mesa, AZ and Charlene Lokken of Hibbing; and his siblings, Vivian Vanleishout of Eureka, MT and Brian Newman of Portland, OR.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chisholm Assembly of God Church (430 Iron Dr, Chisholm, MN 55719). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
