He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Markwardt and Hattie Markwardt; and his siblings, Bob and Myrna. He is survived by: his wife Becky; his children, Eric Markwardt (Heather) of Prescott, WI, James King of Cocoa, FL and Tiffany Hokanson (Ben) of Zimmerman, MN; and his sisters, Jan Cogswell of Crystal, MN and Mary Markwardt of Brooklyn Center, MN. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent in Tom's name to Essentia Health Itasca Hospice, 115 NE 10th Ave., Deer River, MN.
