He is survived by: his pet Gunther; his wife Carol; his children, Ron Shimek (Jen) and Mandi Shimek; his grandchildren, Grace, Emma, Sophie and Joey; and his siblings, Sharon Gustofson and Greg Shimek. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
