With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Lemen (Grand Rapids, Minnesota), born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on December 29, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lemen and Betty Lemen; his children, Matthew and Sarah Mendez (Daniel); and his granddaughter Jera.
He is survived by: his wife Leatha Lortz; his siblings, Bruce Lemen of California and Mary Terkelsen (Gary) of California; his children, David Lemen (Christine Monta) of Maryland, Alice Kleinschmidt (Dan) of Pennsylvania, Gloria Arthur (Mark) of Commonwealth and Anna Warmuth of Tennessee; his son-in-law Daniel Mendez of Colorado; his grandchildren, Heather, Michael, Emily, Mary, Eliza, Madeleine, Carter, Everett, Angelica, Alexis, Valery and Aaron; and his great grandchildren, Dream and Jasper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, dear friends and wonderful neighbors.
He volunteered several years at Forget-Me-Not Foundation therapeutic horse riding program and with the Thistledew DOC Challenge Incarceration Program.
