He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his children, Kristy Newton (Scott) of Taconite, Lynn Cochran (James) of Grand Rapids, Micah Wiitala (Jane) of Elk River, MN and Jesse Wiitala of Grand Rapids; his sister Kaye Casey (Michael); and his grandchildren, Destinee, Gavin Newton, Noel, Isabelle, Rohn Cochran, Sophie, Gus and Ike Wiitala. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
