She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Bob" Downing and Eleanor Downing; her husband Truman Shoaff; her brother Steve "Guido" Downing (Kathy Dodge); and also Lois Gildemeister.
She is survived by: her siblings, Catherine, Patrick (Holly), Will (Cindy), Tom (Janet), John (Holly Christenson) and Rob Downing (Ellen Smilanich); her nieces and nephews, Jenny (Todd), Brianna (Steve), Trisha, Katherine, Jake (Tasha), Adam (Amy), Andrew (Stephanie) and Joseph (Mariah); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ruby, Finley, Elsie, Ella, James, Alex, Axel, Oskar, Lily, Madison, Gabriella and Marcy Gobell.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred in Mary's honor to Habitat for Humanity, St. Croix Hospice, or District 318 Endowment Fund for middle school music.
