She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Svoboda and Mary Svoboda; her former husband Earl Wittman; her husband Maurice Nyhous; her brother Frank; her sister-in-law Virginia Svoboda; her children-in-law, Missy Wittman and Mike Packard; and her nephew Frank Svoboda Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Mary Packard of Grand Rapids, Bev Jones (Jim) of Grand Rapids, Judy Bryan (John) of Grand Rapids, Greg Wittman (Tracy) of Rosemont, MN, Steven Wittman of Grand Rapids and David Wittman of Grand Rapids; and her grandchildren, Christy Sutherland (Todd Major), Katie Lindau (Dalton) and Bradley Wittman (Annie).
She volunteered with the American Red Cross, local Food Shelf, and the RSVP Program and remained active in the University of Minnesota Home Extension for over 20 years.
