With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Alvar Walsh of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, born in Deer River, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Walsh and Gertrude Walsh; and his siblings, Raymond, Lyle, Donald, Ethel and Viola.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Klenotich; his children, Cathy De Bono (Doug), Dennis Walsh (Kim), Sandy Gores (Joe) and Susy Ayers (Jeff); his stepsons, Mark Klenotich (Diane), Ed Klenotich (Cathy) and Bob Klenotich (Gail); his grandchildren, Amanda (Dan Holzmer), Ben (Annie De Bono), Amy (Greg Zytka), Alex (Gabbi Ayers) and Jill Ayers; and his great grandchildren, Jada, Ethan, Zachary, Micah, Nathaniel, Kaylan Holzmer, Ellie, Owen, Charles, Heidi, Neil, Lauren, Peter De Bono, Simon and Jakub Zytka.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church (735 NE 1st Ave, Grand Rapids, MN 55744). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
