He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon McCartney and Susan McCartney; his wife Harriet; and his brothers, Owen McCartney and Dale McCartney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jean Rich, Rebecca Schwartz (Paul), Tami Oleheiser (Steve) and Debbie Hamada (Norm); his sister-in-law Penny Hall (Tim); and his grandchildren, Jodi Piekarski (Brian), Tara Wang (Jeremiah), Lesley O'Neill (Rob), Jessica Solomon (Brett), Keith Oleheiser, Zack Hamada, Benjamin Hamada, Harrison Hamada, Ashley Schwartz, Lynne Powell (Bill) and Aimee Pieteila (Todd).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Itasca Essentia Hospice.
