He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Roy and Florestine Roy (Gagner); his wife Kate; his brothers, Bob, Denny, Jerry and Jim; his daughter-in-law Teri Roy; and his sisters-in-law, Jeanne Roy, Rosemary Roy and Jane Roy.
He is survived by: his former wife Catherine "Katie" O'Neil; his uncle Arvid Black; his children, Pam Froid (Don) of Brooklyn Park, Diane Bailey (Rick) of Bovey, Mike Roy (Linda) of Grand Rapids, Rene Roy of Grand Rapids, Tim Roy, Julie Dahline (Dean) of Cohasset, Joe Roy (Sue) of Cohasset, Beth Petersen (Steve) of Richfield and Adam Roy (Tammie) of Edina; and his siblings, Larry Roy of Grand Rapids, Nancy Arnhold (Jim) of Grand Rapids, Thomas Roy of Arizona, Peggy Roy of Grand Rapids and Wendy Roy of Grand Rapids.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (315 SW 21st St, Grand Rapids, MN 55744). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
