He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Beaty and Alice Beaty; his brother Karl Beaty; and his sisters-in-law, Barb and Jari Beaty.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Schjenken; his daughters, Suzette Childs (Joe) of Grand Rapids, MN and Doris Olson (Mike) of Grand Rapids, MN; his brothers, Robert "Bob" Beaty (Cass) of Philadelphia, PA and Tom Beaty of Cohasset, MN; his grandchildren, Jozette Black (Jhosay Peralta), Scot Black, Zachary Childs (Nevada), Sarah Smith (Luke), Jenna Nelson (Chad), Mitch Olson (Carrie) and Myles Olson (Crystal); his great grandchildren, Santiago Peralta-Black, Harper, Tripp Nelson, Tayva, Willow, Mikko, Bowen Olson, Opie, Griffin and Brisco Olson; and his brother Ben Pettis of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
