She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Lamping and Opal Lamping (Pierce); her husband Marvin Schmelzer; her siblings, Pauline Nelson, Mary Wilson, Glen, Harold and Lowell Lamping; and her sons-in-law, Loren Brown and Craig Hom.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Schmelzer (Linda), Judy Brown, Lana Hom, Candy Bloyer (Chuck), Robin Gangl (Tom) and Barb Frigon (Tim); her grandchildren, Chris Brown (Heather), Eric Gangl (Jessica), Nick Brown, Carissa Bloyer, Katie Fahlin (Josh), Brian Gangl (Rossi), Cheri Bono (Matt), Luke Hom (Jessica), Sara Loss (Scott), Jenny Frigon (Craig Love), Jill Hammer (Dustin), Cassy Bloyer, Debra Lu (Jeff) and Amanda Manning (Matthew); and her brother Gerald Lamping (Phyllis). She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Nashwauk Area Community Fund.
