He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Houseman-Heist and Lloyd Wadsworth Carroll; his sister Lynelle; and his stepfather Arthur Heist. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Holly Lane (Nate), Jessica Carroll (Mike), Andrea Cowdell (Charlie) and Adam Armstrong; and his siblings, Michelle Krohn (James) and Peter Heist (Jeana). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rowe Funeral Home and Crematory (510 NW 1st Ave, Grand Rapids, MN 55744). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rowe Funeral Home (510 NW 1st Ave, Grand Rapids, MN 55744).
