He was predeceased by: his parents, David Carey and Josephine Carey; his wife Carol Lee; his daughters, Judith Carey, Arlene Moritz and Lanora Lindberg; his son-in-law David Warren Jr.; and his siblings, Jerome Carey and Cora "Susie" Rudow.
He is survived by: his sister Patricia Walstad; his children, Thomas Carey (Laura), Mark Carey (Becky) and Della Warren (Daniel Traska); his grandchildren, Trisha, Daniel, Jennifer, Leslie, Tasha, Laura, Sara, Spencer, Jacob and Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Zeke, Ellis, Brooks, Christian and Isabelle.
