She was predeceased by: her husband Walt Nelson. She is survived by: her siblings, Janice Moe (Karl) and Jon Rorem (Sandra); her children, Linda Spanish (George) of Bluffton, SC, Rick (Lisa) of Minneapolis and Mark Houser (Susan) of Jackson, WY; and her grandsons, Sam and Tommy. She is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, and her special California grand and great grandchildren.
