He is survived by: his grandchildren, Lyndsey, Mitch, Brandy, Ben, Billie Jo, Jeff, Paul, Chris, Nate, Kellie, Wesley, Kari, Matthew, Carmen, Zach, Talia, Kody and Chelsy; his great grandchildren, Breck, Esme, Aksel, Payton, Alaina, Brock, Wade, William, Jack, Charlie, Adalyn, Willow, Hendrix and Halen; his close friend Jean; his grandson Christopher; his children, Carol Stier (Craig), Mark Carman (Kathy), Cathy Koball (Dan) and Caren Swanson (Doug); his siblings, Dorothy Christensen of Grand Meadow, Eugene Carman (Judy) of Cresco Iowa and Dale Carman of Fort Dodge Iowa; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Carman of Humboldt Iowa; and also, Brenda Carman of Grand Meadow, Chuck Martens (JoAnn), Mary Shipler-Oleson (Gordon) of Burt Iowa and Richard Martens (Shiela). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
