He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Hoppe and Marian Hoppe; his parents-in-law, Vern and Norma Janke; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Seifert, Steve Stotesbery and Vic Braun.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Chris Hoppe (Lacey) of Moorhead, MN and Sarah Nelson (Doug) of Elbow Lake, MN; his grandsons, Jack Nelson and Nelson; his siblings, Diana Seifert, Debby Stotesbery, Cheri Braun and Terry Hoppe (Jean); and his sister-in-law Sherry Aronson (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity-Mt. Olive Lutheran Church (5158 Co Rd 15, Dumont, MN 56236). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Graceville Ambulance Services.
