With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Kriel of Goodridge, Minnesota, born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on January 25, 2021 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Kriel and Oleen Kriel (Hanson); his grandparents, Henry, Ann Kriel (Savage), John, Bessie Langerud, Andrew and Ellen Hanson; and his brother-in-law Darcy Moses.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Overby; his close friend Laura Nelson of St. Hilaire, MN; his children, Lisa Kriel Koble (Gerald) of Roseau, MN, Jeffrey (Trisha) of St. Hilaire, MN, Steven (Jenni) and Ryan (Twila) of Goodridge, MN; his grandchildren, Mathew Verbout (Ryan), Alisha Anderson (Robbie), Megan Verbout, Gastin Kriel (Amanda), Gannon Kriel, Logan Kriel, Simone Gebro, Cari Larson (Nate), Jake Wellentin (Katrina), Blaine Kriel (Kember) and Brooklynn Kriel; his great grandchildren, Presley, Briggs, Jett Anderson, Sawyer, Tinley, Ashtyn, Braxtin Kriel, Sophia, Jaxon Gebro, Whittemore Larson and Ayla Kriel; his sister Norma Moses; his niece Tami Kost; and his great-nephews, Dillon and Mason. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
