She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Stursa and Laurena Stursa (Redemske); her sons, Alan and Larry; her sister Edith Tischer; and her brothers-in-law, Walter Tischer, LaVern Tisher and Darrel Bohlke.
She is survived by: her husband Erwin Tischer; her daughters, Linda Duenow (Brian) of North Mankato and Leanne Reinhardt (Michael) of Henderson; her grandchildren, Rebecca Bailey (Benjamin) of Mankato, Joel Duenow (Valene) of St Bonifacius, Kristin Veldhuisen (Robert) of Pine Island and April Foley of Rochester; her great grandchildren, Aubriana and Amyah Bailey; her grandchildren, Peyton, Penelope, Paisley Duenow, David, Hudson and Madison Veldhuisen; and her sisters-in-law, Elna Bohlke and Emily Tischer. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church (502 W 7th St, Mankato, MN 56001).
